Halfway through writing a new novel and I figured this would be a good time to post about it.

I’ve been working on a speculative fiction story with strong sci-fi elements for about a year now. As with everything I write, this is close to my heart. Yes, there is cli-fi elements in there, because this is what keeps me up at night, but there’s so much more.

There is a certain frustration that comes from reading and writing straight-forward narratives and I’ve always had a thing for experimenting with form. Recently, I reached out to a couple of professors of English to have a discussion on representing time on page and how to manipulate it.

Exciting times.
